Are your meals balanced? Many of my clients aren't used to eating balanced meals when we first start working together, but instead, parts of meals. This leads to nutrient deficiency, overeating the wrong foods, cravings, low energy, an inability to meet nutritional needs and more.
When you balance your meals, you can stabilize blood sugar levels which will reduce cravings. In addition, you will feel satisfied, and feel more in control of your diet.
My din din tonight: -Chicken cooked in 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil (protein and healthy fat) -Brussel sprouts, just plain ol brussel sprouts, nothing added and (packed with important micronutrients like vitamins) -Brown rice (complex carbohydrates/starch filled with fiber, micronutrients and even a bit of protein)
Based on what I ate earlier today (pizza) I didn't add anything to my brussels or rice but sometimes i'll add a small amount of light butter or extra virgin olive oil along with other spices and fun things. I just got my fat earlier in the day.
Remember it's all about balance.
